This is a snapshot of history and of future. The suitcases lined on the beach are those belonging to the first migrants to this port. A time when the seas and oceans were the only mode of transport to a land of opportunity and new beginnings. In our present day, people swim and relax on the beach, knowing their ancestors battled the waves and cultivated this soil for them that they now enjoy. The seas will always be an important part of our lives, from taking a holiday cruise, to the dependence of small island communities to reach resources on nearby atolls. Migration to and from different lands is a way of life, but a way of life which must be preserved.
