Every now and then the South Atlantic waters around the Falkland Islands surprise us with a stunning calm - but it's rare! This was a very welcome sight as we set sail from Steeple Jason Island to New Island on what would normally be a gruelling 6-hour journey in a small boat! Our blissful sail was made even more enjoyable by the Black-browed albatross and Fur seal following the boat. Steeple Jason Island and New Island combined support over 200,000 pairs of Black-browed albatross - thanks in part to the very rich waters around the western edge of the Falklands where these islands lie.
