The Lost World is a magical spot at the Poor Knights Islands. You head into a steep-walled canyon, over rippling halcyon white sand and shoot out into an arena of gargantuan boulders speckled with swaying kelp. The Poor Knights Islands were designated a fully protected no take marine reserve in 1998. Today they are a shining example of what can happen when you remove human fishing pressure and allow an environment to recover. Every week scuba divers and snorkellers voyage out to the Poor Knights to marvel at the abundant fish life and colourful walls and arches.
