Gentoo Penguin (Pygoscelis papua) on Bleaker Island in the Falkland Islands. Thousands of Gentoo Penguins and Magellanic Penguins (Spheniscus magellanicus) crowd the beach of Sandy Bay in the background.

Penguins are more at home in the sea than on land and symbolise the importance of the worlds oceans as a habitat for wildlife. Thousands of Gentoo and Magallenic Penguins share Bleaker Island with a sheep farm and is a great example of man living in harmony with nature.

Minor cropping plus small adjustment to exposure and colour saturation.
