Shot in the Northwest Passage on Devon Island, a migratory route for polar bears, during the summer of 2014. A young male polar bear we nicknamed "Gerome", was alone and seemed to be in the search for something. The diminishing ice floes in these areas during the summer months have a massive impact on a polar bear's life and their search for food, as their primary food source are seals. Here we left Gerome, swimming into the distance in search of ice and food.
