From the lower deck of a glass-bottom boat, I saw schools of fish in the protected Coral Reef Sea Garden near the uninhabited "Athol Island" in the Bahamas. This is the breeding ground for many species. Captured in this photo are: Reef Runner Jacks, Striped Sergeants, Angel Fish, Grunts, Hog Fish, Snappers, Bar Jacks and a shark.
There are rules and regulations for commercial and sports fishing; poaching is not tolerated. Personal fishing trips for family consumption are popular, particularly in the Family Islands.
I believe that this photo should be included so that people will know that there will be enough fish for future generations in the Bahamas.
