This beautiful Whale Shark was swimming in the Ningaloo Reef off the coast of west Australia. As the largest fish on the planet, they are an integral part of their ecosystem and provide insight into the health of the community. I was fortunate enough to witness a mass congregation of these amazing creatures during a recent visit to the reef. A group of over twenty individual whale sharks had gathered together, creating a spectacular display of natural vitality. The time I spent swimming with these gentle giants was an experience I will never forget.
