Women walk out of the water, loaded with buckets of wet sand they harvested in river Migori at Wuoth-Ogik area in Kenya. The harvesting takes place as the river overflows into lake Victoria during rainy season. Like other inhabitants around the river, they are determined to work hard to put food on their tables and educate their children. Other minor beneficiaries are fishermen who fish Nile perch from the very river.
